Water Music on the Beach

Join us for our annual series of live performances highlighting Chicago’s proximity to Lake Michigan. Compositions and scores reflect, react to, or personify the sounds of water!
We will begin at 6018North with Aeolian harps by Firat Erdim leading a procession to the beach! At the beach, we experience work by Simon Anderson, Circles and Ciphers (RWE Neptune, Pressure Baby R, Marko Stat$, Z Saj), Dan Galat and Caroline Jesalva, Marcus Gipson (DJ Mr.CEO), Joseph Ravens, William Jason Raynovich, Corey Douglas Smith, Anaiet Soul, and Julian Wang’s My Little Realities (with Graham Nelson, Ben Zucker, and Evan Kopca).
Volunteer to help bring Field Harp to life at the 2025 Chicago Architecture Biennial: SHIFT through participation in public rehearsals. No musical training required—just curiosity and a willingness to participate. We need 9-18 volunteers; please fill out this form to sign up.
